First Watch Education LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provides Blueprint - CTE, an application for career and technical education curriculum authoring, standards and credential alignment, and compliance reporting. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information in connection with Blueprint - CTE, our related website, and our communications with users (collectively, the “Service”).
This policy covers teachers, administrators, authorized institutional users, website visitors, prospective customers, and people who contact us. It does not govern third-party websites or services, even when accessible through the Service.
Where a school, district, or other organization provides your account, we process information on its behalf as specified in our agreement with that organization. An applicable customer agreement or data privacy agreement governs our processing of institution-controlled information and takes precedence over inconsistent provisions of this policy, subject to applicable law. This policy is a notice of our practices; it is not a blanket consent to every form of processing.
Depending on the features you use and the information you provide, we collect the following categories of information:
We obtain information directly from you, automatically through your use of the Service, and from your institution or authorized connected services. We do not require student-level information for the intended adult-facing curriculum workflow. Do not submit student personal information, health records, government identification numbers, or other sensitive information unless the Company has expressly authorized that use under an applicable written agreement.
We use information for the following purposes, where relevant to the Service you use:
Blueprint - CTE includes AI-assisted features that process your instructions and submitted materials to produce lesson plans, assessments, rubrics, and other outputs. Depending on the feature, relevant information may be processed by an external AI service provider acting on our behalf.
Even if your account is intended only for teachers or administrators, an uploaded file or AI prompt may contain information about other people. Remove unnecessary personal information before submitting content. If you discover an unintended disclosure, contact us through the details below so we can evaluate deletion or other appropriate action.
We disclose information only as relevant to the purposes described in this policy and subject to applicable agreements and law:

The Service may use cookies or similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and support security.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although blocking essential cookies may interfere with sign-in or other Service features.
Blueprint - CTE is intended for educators, administrators, and other authorized adult institutional users. Our standard adult-facing Service does not offer student self-registration, and users must not submit identifiable student information unless Company has expressly authorized that processing under a customer agreement or data privacy agreement.
If student information is authorized in a future or institution-specific deployment, we will process it only for the educational purposes permitted by the institution, the applicable agreement, and law. A privacy policy alone does not authorize disclosure of education records or replace a required school agreement, notice, consent process, or other legal safeguard.
Where an authorized deployment relies on the FERPA school official exception, the arrangement must satisfy its applicable conditions, including institutional control over use and maintenance of education records and restrictions on use and redisclosure. Those conditions are described in the U.S. Department of Education’s school-official guidance.
The standard Service is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child under 13 in circumstances requiring consent that has not been obtained, we will take appropriate steps to stop that processing and delete the information, subject to applicable law.
Parents, guardians, or students seeking access to or correction of institution-controlled education records should generally contact their school or district first. We will assist the institution as required by our agreement and applicable law, and this routing does not eliminate any independent obligations we may have.
We retain personal information for the purposes described in this policy, taking account of the type of information, account status, institutional instructions, contractual commitments, and legal requirements. Account information, uploaded content, diagnostic logs, billing records, and backup copies may have different retention periods.
Deletion may be limited where retention is required by law, necessary for security or legal claims, or directed by an institution acting within its authority. Access to any retained information will remain limited to the applicable purpose. Institution-controlled data will be returned or deleted in accordance with the applicable agreement and law.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and loss.
No internet service or storage system can guarantee complete security. Protect your credentials and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We will provide any security-incident notices required by applicable law and our customer agreements.
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information about you. Depending on your location, the applicable law, and our role in processing the information, you may also have rights to obtain a portable copy, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, opt out of certain data uses, or appeal a denied request.
Submit requests to support@firstshifteducation.com or by mail to the address below. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity for requests requiring verification and will respond within applicable legal timeframes. We will not require identity verification for an opt-out request where applicable law prohibits it.
Where an institution controls the requested information, we may direct you to its administrator and assist the institution with its response. This does not limit rights you can exercise directly against us under applicable law. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
If we serve individuals in jurisdictions requiring safeguards for international transfers, we will establish the applicable safeguards and notices before those transfers.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the Service, our practices, or legal requirements. The published policy will show its effective date and last-updated date. We will provide any notices, and obtain any consents, required by applicable law or our institutional agreements before implementing relevant changes.
